Camp Mukruthi is located in the famed blue hills of the Nilgiris. Also known as the Blue Mountains, the Nilgiris, are one of the oldest mountain ranges in South India. Located at the junction of the Western and the Eastern Ghats, and about 2600m above sea level, they are best suited for novice trekkers apart from having the most stupendous landscape found in South India. The mountains are also home to a number of tribes such as the Todas, Kurumbhas and Irulas.

CAMPSITE: During the camp, a 110 year old forest bungalow forms the home of the campers. This rustic place with its own fireplace, is set ideally of the banks of the Mukruthi Lake and surrounded by mist covered hills. James, the resident caretaker and an expert cook makes the Mukruthi Campsite a homely and endearing place.
